Ford accelerated action days-Ford volunteers help the environment and community

Manufacture of new cars and trucks is not the only thing that makes Ford; they are also volunteers, sweat, sustainability and neck deep in mud. What exactly are dirty relations that Ford has his hands and feet, you ask?

Is accelerated action days of Ford and one of the most notable initiatives that a company Automotive has done to improve a metropolitan environment and water conservation, as well as helping community organizations. The body of volunteers from Ford were in mass on May 14, 2010 as volunteers in three dozen sites helped transform industrial eye-sores on beautiful trails, gardens and rehabilitate a wildlife refuge in Detroit, Michigan and other areas. Volunteers also created systems for water conservation with installation of rain collection and stormwater, filtering systems.

The Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge made immense progress in the establishment of a refuge of Dearborn, the Ohio State line and could not have done it without the help of Ford Motor Group. Ford supports various efforts in sustainability and environmental initiatives not only in their vehicles, but also within its production facilities, reducing water use, and they continue to seek other ways to reduce your carbon footprint.

However, 14 of may, was only the second of five days of accelerated action. Each day has a different focus. For example the Ford volunteers worked to help the homeless in metropolitan Detroit, as well as the donation of supplies to help Haiti. No matter whether it is an area rich or a poor country, Ford's action days meets the needs of your community and around the world.

March 4, 2010, was a headset to help children and needy families in Detroit and through the World of medical support Fund for families of Haiti. Volunteers collected items of personal hygiene, packed them in kits delivered to places that needed the maximum in Southeast Michigan. More volunteers needed together medical supplies to the victims of Haiti's devastating earthquake that occurred on 12 January. Many organizations are collecting and donating supplies and foods, and Ford wanted his employees, 200 actually to take part in volunteering as well.

The Ford Motor Group encourages its employees to two days of volunteer work each year and give back to their local community. In 2008, more than 20000 laborers, as well as retirees volunteered 100000 hours in community service projects, which was equal to $ 2 million in contributions from companies. In 2009, a day of action Ford, Ford volunteers helped illuminate lives on the premises of veterans in Southeast Michigan by repairing and painting in various areas. Background Jim Vella, President of Ford Motor Company, said, "Ford Motor Company has always been a strong supporter of the armed forces of America and the people who serve ..."
